Motorcycle Technician - Thunder Road Cwmbran
Thunder Road Cwmbran are looking to recruit an additional experienced Motorcycle technician to join our team. Working for one of the UK largest dealer groups, you will receive a competitive salary, full Honda manufacturer training and career development.
Normal working hours:
- Mon – Thurs 8.30am – 5.30pm
- Fri 8.30am – 5.15pm
- Saturdays are available as overtime.
Salary:
- Will vary dependant on experience. To be discussed at interview stage.
Main job function:-
- To undertake maintenance, service, and repair work on all types of motorcycles/scooters to the highest standard.
- To advise and report on present and potential future vehicle faults and servicing requirements noticed whilst working on vehicles.
- To care for customers vehicles, property and seek to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- To carry out all work in a safe way, following company health and safety policies.
- Use current, and further develop your knowledge and skills to carry out testing, diagnose faults, and effect permanent repairs.
- To share skills and knowledge within the team.
Ideal Candidate
- You will be a qualified and/or experienced Motorcycle Technician with experience of modern motorcycles/scooters.
- Experience of Honda motorcycles would be a benefit but not essential.
- Served a recognised apprenticeship or other dealership approved training scheme, with a minimum of 2-3 years of technical experience.
- Have experience of working with current diagnostic equipment.
- Be able to work unsupervised in a safe and timely manner to high exacting standards.
- Have excellent communication skills face to face and on the phone.
- Be a team player and willing to go the extra mile for our customers and work colleagues.
- A current MOT testing licence would be desirable but not essential as this opportunity would be provided to the successful candidate.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience gained within a similar environment of the diagnosis, servicing, and repair of modern motorcycles.
- Full UK Motorcycle licence
